(it's spelled 'Coltrane' ) I was a vocal jazz major, so I'm partial to vocal jazz. Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Tourme (more than just a crooner), Lena Horne, etc.

Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Tourme (more than just a crooner), Lena Horne, etc. It's Torme and yes, he was a stud You also can't forget Nat King Cole in that list of great male jazz vocalists. I just played a stint this last weekend with my old jazz combo from college, and we have a bunch of gigs lined up between then and the end of the year. I miss playing all the time, but even just being able to jam with these guys again has been great.

Black Sabbath have a lot of Jazz/Swing influence in their music. Especially, Bill Ward's drumming, and Geezer Butler's bass playing.

I love to play Jazz on the Piano, it's by far the hardest to learn but the most worthwhile and gratifying music to play.
