“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive – to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.” – Marcus Aurelius
Another Marcus Aurelius quote? I swear I didn’t plan it that way, but I thought it would work anyway. Plus, I do have a bit of a fixation on his life, no?
Thanks to a friend, I have a list to follow now, so each blog I write will have a certain topic to it. I always want to blog, but I can never seem to think of things to blog about, unless something hits me randomly. I’m extremely appreciative of this list, and can’t wait to get started!
With that said, Here is my first question: What is your favorite thing to do on the weekends?
Since I work from home, and lately I don’t really have much of a life (lol), my days tend to meld together. When I think of my favorite thing to do, I can usually narrow it down to a few different things, instead of one big thing.
1. Play with my dogs. You saw this coming, didn’t you? With the weather being so great and it’s finally feeling and looking like Spring instead of Winter, I spend a lot of time outside with them playing fetch. This is one of my favorite things to do. I love the breeze we’ve had lately, I love how everything is green, I love how my trees I planted are finally taller than I am and are blooming nicely, I love that I’m spending time with my boys, making them happy by playing and wearing them out so they sleep well instead of getting restless. Everything about it just makes me happy. I love the Spring!
2. I catch up on my photo editing. As you all should know by now, I love photography. Mostly I’ve been taking pictures of my youngest sister, and since I’ve taken so many it has taken me a while to edit them to how I want them to look. I really enjoy doing this, it’s just time consuming. Since I spend a lot of my days on here with you guys and girls, I tend to slack at this sometimes. So the weekends, since it’s slower around here, are my catch up days!
3. Play video games. I recently got the new Donkey Kong game, and I love it! It is so much fun and I know i’m going to have a blast going through it. The only thing I would change is the two player settings – I wish it was like the old SNES games where you could take turns and have your own map, instead of playing together cooperatively. I say that because, when I played the most recent Mario game with a friend, it was super frustrating when one person didn’t do something the other wanted, and resulted in unhappy feelings, lol. But, I plan on playing Donkey Kong by myself, so that solves that problem! I know it’ll take some time for me to finish it, because I tend to take my time trying to find everything. All more the fun, in my opinion!
4. Read my nook, or get on the computer. These are pretty self-explanatory. I’m still reading the James Patterson series (Women’s Murder Club) because lately I’ve barely been able to read because of my crappy time management skills I’ve got going on lately, but I always make time to get on the computer, at least for a little while to talk to everybody, and take care of some stuff.
The only thing not listed, is spending time with friends and family. This would be my favorite thing to do, but sadly I don’t get to do it as often as I would like. But, on April 1st I leave to go spend time with both of my families and I am extremely psyched about it! It’s definitely what I look forward to the most right now.
I think that about answers that question. I’ll be around!
