As some of you know, I finally found my inner motivation. It took me a long time to find it, but I made a friend recently who totally put things in perspective for me. I don’t know how she did it, but I feel amazing lately. Despite my knee problems, and despite my headaches and monthly woes, I feel like my mood has greatly improved since I got back from vacation. The weather has been fantastic here this week – it’s still humid, but overall the heat is much better. Because of that, I’ve been really wanting to take my dogs jogging again. We have to jog in intervals because I’m having to take baby steps with everything: my moods, my exercise, my dieting, etc. I’ve found that in the past, I tend to try to do too much too fast and ultimately just end up overwhelmed with myself. No more! This baby steps thing has helped me so much, I actually feel like i’m changing for the better. Something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time.
Well, because I’ve been wanting to walk so bad, even though my knee is still in pain – I put my knee brace on and decided to just go for it. I finally went jogging and took the dogs with me! We went kindof late so we only jogged/brisk walked for 30 minutes, but hey, that’s 30 minutes of exercise! I’m feeling really good about my new outlook on everything, and the dogs had a blast. But the whole time we were out there, I kept thinking about how much I love their new leash! I know, I know – Kaylee getting excited over a dog leash, how completely typical of her. But let me tell you, if you have multiple dogs and they are about the same size (doesn’t have to be exact) then this is the leash for you! It is one leash made into two pretty much, Y-Shaped and exactly the one I posted in my images. It is called Petmate take two adjustable leash. I’m almost convinced that it is the best invention, ever! Let me tell you why:
1. It is adjustable.
2. Because of the swivel, there is no more leashes getting tangled up!
3. If one of your dog is slower than the other, but the slower dog is healthy enough to be able to catch up – the other dog keeps the other one going at the same pace.
I’m not going to assume that all dogs do well on it – but mine do fantastic with it. Walking them is now a fun thing for me to do, because there is no problem with the leash getting messed up. There may be an adjustment period, but overall it’s well worth it. There is a sale going on right now with those leashes! So, if you are interested, I suggest you get it right now while it’s discounted! Anyway. We all very much enjoyed our time outside, and I’m hoping I can do it more regularly before it gets too cold. Among that, I should be starting P90X soon. Have any of you ever done it? Heard of it? Do you like it, or have any experience/tips you would like to share? I have already talked to the girls – but I would love to hear from anybody who has any thoughts on it. I plan on doing the lean schedule instead of the classic. I should be starting it soon, I have the disks now, I just need the yoga mat and blocks, then i’m ready to get started! I can’t wait! I have a buddy system going on with my friend, and that will help me stay motivated with everything.
Among that, I’m hoping to finally start those green smoothies. I’ve only been talking about them for months and months, but I just haven’t had the money to do it. But i’m wondering if – granted that I like them – it might be beneficial for me to go on the 90 day green smoothies only diet, only pair it with oatmeal, nuts, fish and chicken. It is healthy to do so, still has every nutrient in it that I need daily. The only reason I would be willing to do that, because maybe it won’t make my grocery bill shoot up if I cut out everything else I would usually eat, and replace it with this stuff. Is that incredibly stupid? I’m not sure. I’ll accept any thoughts about it, just as long as you’re nice. 😛 I have a hard enough time getting my bills paid as it is, but I feel like green smoothies is probably one of the best things I can do for my health right now. Cross your fingers for me!
Anyway, I’m feeling unusually calm and content right now, the dogs are out like a light – both worn out. I made them run long, and like wise lol. My dogs are one of the bests at getting me to do things I wouldn’t normally do – they motivate me to be better, because I want them to be better. They have a lot of energy, so it’s the least I can do for them to keep them healthy and happy. They are my babies afterall!
