I returned home from visiting some family yesterday. I have a nine-month-old sister….sometimes it’s hard for me to remember that I actually have a sibling since we’re apart by 20 years 😛 I love her, she’s such a cutie and very social. However, after being around babies (cuz her friends were over a few times 😉 ) for four days…I was happy to return to a QUIET home 😉

When I was out of town, I went to the horse track and gambled on a couple races. I had the WORST luck 🙁 There’s a race track here about 15 miles from me so my friend and I are gonna go when the season begins (in 2 weeks).

Yesterday I saw “The Visitor” with my friend. It’s an independent film and there’s a theater here that shows foreign and independent films, which the both of us prefer to watch anyway 😉 At first I wanted to see “Hancock” and “Wanted” but my friend said, “Dumb….dumb.” lol “The Visitor” is about a depressed economics professor who lives in Connecticut. He goes to an academic conference in New York and finds a young couple living in his apartment. Lo and behold, the young couple are illegal immigrants and have been living in the U.S. for a few years. When the boyfriend gets arrested, he is sent to a detention center for illegal immigrants and eventually gets deported 🙁 The professor, who only met the couple days before, hires an immigration lawyer and tries to prevent the deportation process. The kindness and compassion of the professor makes the movie very sentimental but not in a sappy, sugary way =/ Anyway, I feel like I’m writing a movie review lol. Back to camming now…have a good rest of your week =)
